With over 90 years of combined experience in the construction industry, our operators have grown to become some of Chicagoland's most respected providers of excavation services. We offer a full range of excavation services from mass excavation and grading, to the excavation of deep basements, caisson caps, pile caps, grade beams, footings and subgrades. We are on-hand to get your project started: whether it is a single family home or new addition, or a larger scale commercial development, Quality Excavation has you covered.
At Quality Excavation, all excavation crew members are Competent Persons for Excavation in full compliance with OSHA standards. Before our crews ever break ground, our excavation project management team compiles a Site Specific Safety Program which includes all MSDS. Armed with the recommendations of your architect, and when necessary your structural engineer, the team gets to work on your personalized excavation plan. During this planning phase, they walk the site, paying close attention to any adjacent buildings and from there map out your project safeguarding the integrity of those buildings. Our success lies in the open communication we share with our clients, walking you through each phase of your personalized excavation plan from beginning to end.
• At Quality Excavation we continually maintain and update our fleet of equipment to maximize efficiency.
• We offer excavation services for both residential and commercial developments.
No matter how complicated the job, you can be assured your excavation project is in safe hands. Our management team is committed to the safety of all employees and have implemented mandatory safety classes that include; 10 hour OSHA training, 30 hour OSHA training and 40 hour OSHA training for all of our foremen. Other requirements include flagger certification, First Aid/Adult CPR certification, Rigger certification, and Competent Person for Excavation. All of our employees partake in mandatory Weekly Tool Box Talks: classes are conducted online, or and when available, in-person with the Safety Director of our Insurance Brokerage. As an integral part of their employment terms, operators and laborers utilize the safety training classes provided by their unions to maintain their certifications and keep up-to-date with new equipment and changing industry methods and procedures.
We properly and safely dispose of all spoils according to IEPA regulations, whether it is material certified as clean or non-hazardous special waste. We work with GC's to obtain the proper paperwork and testing required by CCDD facilities and landfills in order to begin hauling for projects in a timely manner.
They say that blood is thicker than water, but at Quality Excavation we put that old adage to the test! We are committed to the well-being of our operators, laborers and entire support staff both on and off the job site. By hosting social events throughout the year, we have become a close knit family, which is evident when it comes to safety in the field – we have each other's backs.
